THE PHOTO ROOM
Fotó terem A teremben látható valamennyi kép esetében fontos szerepet játszik a tükröződés, s így természetesen maga a tükör. A tükörben tükröződhet az is, amit a valóságban eltakar. Tükör az a Lencse-üveg plasztika is, amit német kollégámtól, Adolf Luthertől kaptam. A tárgy sok évtizede áll a lakásomban. Öt kékpizsamás önarcképem valójában az ezen a plasztikán megjelent, majdnem absztrakt látomás. Három barátom, kollégám képe függ lakásom egyik szobájában. Ebben a szobában számos önarcképet készítettem: a háttérben valamennyin megjelenik egyik vagy másik alkotás (esetleg kettő egyszerre). Nyolc önarcképemen Major János arcmanírjában próbáltam magamat ábrázolni. Ezzel talán sikerült néhány Major János-önarcképet létrehoznom. Lehetséges, hogy az emeleti előtérben látható Kicsiny Balázs önarcképéhez hasonlóan az alkotó nem maga az önarckép alanya. The Photo Room Reflection, and thus the mirror are important to all the photos in this room. A mirror can reflect things concealed in reality. The Lens-glass sculpture is also a mirror, one that I received from my German colleague, Adolf Luther. It has been in my home for several decades. The five self-portraits in blue pajamas are semi-abstract images that appeared on this piece of sculpture. Pictures of three of my friends, my colleagues hang in one of the rooms of my home. I took several self-portraits here, with one or the other pictures in the background (sometimes two of them on the same photo). With the eight self-portraits I aimed to represent myself in the manner of János Major. I more or less ended up with self-portraits of János Major himself. It might be possible that the artist is not the model of his own self-portrait—as in the case of The Self-portrait by Balázs Kicsiny.
